Glenwood United Parish Celebrates - 125th Anniversary
Beginning in September, 2009, and continuing through August, 2010, Glenwood United Parish is celebrating its 125th Anniversary. Union Congregational Church, which is a part of Glenwood United Parish, was founded in 1885. In 1969, they were joined with Glenwood Methodist (founded 1884), Grove Lake Methodist (founded 1889) and Sedan Presbyterian to form Glenwood United Parish.
The culminating event of the year will be Sunday, August 22. A Special Celebration Worship service followed by a dinner for the congregation and all guests will be held. We look forward to the year of growing and celebrating together remembering “The earth is the Lord's and everything in it” (I Cor.10:26).

3. Will the worship service be at the Ballroom, too?
Yes, all activities will be at the Ballroom.
4. What time will the worship service start?
Worship service will start at 10:30 a.m.
5. What time is the lunch and how much will it cost?
Lunch will follow the worship service (approximately 11:30 pm.) There is no cost due to generous donations by members and friends, but you must reply by returning your RSVP card (which you should have received in the mail) or by calling the church office (320-634-3712) so that we may have an accurate count.
6. What time is the program?
Following the lunch; approximately 12:30 pm.
7. Will there be time for sharing memories of GUP?
There will be time for informal sharing at tables during lunch. You may choose to share a special memory at the program if you wish.
8. Will former pastors be there?
We are expecting some former pastors and friends of the congregation to join us.
9. What should I bring?
Bring your memories of GUP! Bring any pictures you have to share.
10. Will there be an offering and for what will it be used?
Offerings designated for the church programming and budget will go to the General Fund. Undesignated and loose offerings will go to the Wadena Tree fund to help replace the many many trees lost in the tornado. We believe this is in keeping with our year-long theme of Becoming an Earthwise Congregation.
